Spectrum HS-600 is a silicate compound impregnated with potassium permanganate. It is ideal for certain applications where activated carbon is ineffective like the adsorption and oxidisation of polar or lower molecular weight compounds. Spectrum HS-600 contains a higher percentage of potassium permanganate compared to similar products thus giving it longer service life. It is also considerably less dusty than other products making for easier and cleaner handling and use.

Wet activated carbon removes oxygen from air causing a severe hazard to workers inside carbon vessels. Confined space/low oxygen procedures should be put in place before any entry is made. Such procedures should comply with all applicable local, state and federal guidelines.
